quick question

Hello everyone!

I just decided to finish my RN through excelsior (most RN classes complete). I have read alot about the 3 day clinical evaluation being booked up for around 6 months, should I sign up for that now or do you think that is to risky?

Thank you!!!!

You can not sign up for CPNE untill you complete all Nursing Exams. Then you have to pass FCCA (another open book, paperwork exam). And then you can sign up. :)

Actually, I do not really understand - are you already EC student? Because if not, you have to apply/enroll first and see what EC will accept from your transcript.

Jen, you're not eligible to register for the clinical exam yet. Get your transcript evaluation done and go from there. :)

When the time comes you will be able to sign up for the CPNE. You can not get on the waiting list until you are ready. The college will inform you when that happens. Worry about your tests for now.

I am flying through my tests since I did most of my RN work thru a classroom, and pulled out last min due to school drama. I am just scarred most of my wait will be for the CPNE... is there a way to search by who has the samllest wait time?

NPAC which is the New York area has the shortest weight time. I understand people don't want to wait long but trust me you will need alot of time to prepare for this test. When you look at that 500 page studyguide and see all the stuff that they want you to know, its gonna take you 4-6 months to ingest all the material. Don't be so quick to rush the CPNE. The test is one that takes alot of practice and understanding. Its not something that you can look at for a month and figure it out. I appreciated my 7 month wait.(I selected this by choice.) I was offered a date for 4 months and declined when I saw the magnitute of information. Either way, I finished the whole program in 12 months. If I would have accepted the first date and passed. I would have completed the program in 9 months. I just felt I needed time. This is a big test and I passed it with no repeats. I had a friend who rushed and took it and failed the first time. She went back 1.5 months later and aced it. It was a $2000 lesson she had to learn. Again, this is just my opinion take it for what its worth.
