Is anyone in qcc nursing program for the fall 2015 semester? I was wondering if u get a c- in bio 301 but straight A's and B's in other classes. Will they accept that? Will they let you take 302 and do better?

My school considered anything below a c, failing, so a c- meant you had to sit out a year and wait to retake the class when it was offered again. Same went for entrance requirements, a c- wouldn't count.

Why don't you contact the nursing program directly & ask?

This.
Every program is different; plus, most of us reading across the nation and the world do not know what a "qcc" is, as well as BIO 301 or 302 without it being placed in the right state of even spelling out the college you are going to and it's location-be specific to garner more response, or even better yet, contact the program directly in order to get a more appropriate response to your question.
Best wishes.

Exactly.
And let's suppose I were to type "oh, a C- is totally fine, there's no problem with getting that accepted".....and then the OP finds out he/she cannot get into the program nohow. Can't really say "But an anonymous person posting on an internet forum where I asked the question assured me you would take it!!"....right? Best to go to the source and ask THEM.

Hey,
If you look at the qcc nursing website under Criteria for Application it tells you that you can replace your grade in BI 301 with your grade in BI 302 to increase your GPA. If you did not apply for the nursing program yet, take the time to do really really well in BI 302 in your next semester and then apply to the program. Good luck :)

At Queensborough Community College, they require C or better on BIO 301 and 302.
