some questions about the RN to BSN program

I didn't transfer any classes so I'm not familiar with their process. Professional nursing is a total of 10 weeks (technically 11), 5 weeks for A then a 1 week break then 5 weeks for B. There is a new professional nursing class offered every 5 weeks. If you go on to the academic partnership website you will find a booklist for the entire program. It is up to you whether you get a book or ebook. Some classes don't have a book requirement. I rented all my books from barnes and noble because they offer a 60 day rental. Most classes require a discussion board posting and replies to 2 classmates posting weekly. There is usually also a paper. Some classes require quizzes but not many. The only class with group projects is research (the entire class is group work). The program is closed for 5 weeks over Christmas.

I would recommend it to a friend. It can be frustrating but it is completely doable while working full time.

I am thinnking about switching from my current RN to BSN program (have only taken 1 class so far) and would like some basic information about UTA. How often and when do classes start? are they really strict about which transfer classes they accept? do they use ebooks or real honest to goodness physical books? The previous class I took had 2 discussion questions and 1 paper per week. There were no tests. There was also a group project. Does UTA have many group projects? I think I read somewhere that each class was 5 weeks long except professional nursing. I see professional nursing is listed as having parts A & B. Are parts A & B together 10 weeks or is each part 10 weeks? Would you recommend this program to a friend? Thanks so much for any information you can provide.

I took all my general classes at a community college. They all transferred with no problems. I would also recommend this program to a friend.

For some odd reason, they still haven't accepted me into the nursing program and I applied back in December. I graduated from an out of state associate degree program that was NLN accredited and it was a state community college. I applied to OU at the same time and OU accepted me straight away but I am in a partner school with OU. I start next week and I am still waiting to hear back about whether UTA's nursing program accepted me. I was accepted into UTA no issues, just not the nursing program. My GPA is over 3.6 overall and 3.3 in nursing.

Have you checked your UTA email? I kept waiting to hear from them through my regular email, but all my nursing info came through my mav email, including my transcript eval. I never checked it after a few failed logins early on and ended up missing the deadline for the classes I wanted to start.

generally if you are accepted to the uta program you are also accepted into the nursing program at the same time. Its both or none. you really need to call and check. They set up a uta email for all of your stuff and it probably has a lot of information for you. You can also check you mymav info to check your admissions status.

I have the same issue. I was accepted into UTA without a problem. Now they have put my application into the on-campus class, then taken it out and put into general studies, now it is finally in the nursing dept for review. My advisor keeps telling me that it will be no problem for me to start. Just when?
