Questions re MS

Can someone please help me? First off I want to commend you all on dealing with MS on a daily basis while still serving your patients-you are all angels! I am not really looking for exact medical advice, but more asking if these are symptoms that you have suffered from?

My mother is 54 and I think she has MS and she won't see a doctor because she has no health insurance.

Here is a brief history on her:

-Suffered from hypothyroid all her life (currently on meds and it is always monitered)

-Was DX with Hep C about 15 years ago, and we not receive treatment because of the costs

-She has abused all types of prescription meds (pain killers, etc) her whole life. She has ways of getting them.

What is happenign now:

-She cannot complete a sentence without forgetting what she was talking about.

-Her hands and legs tremble (shake) when she is having an "episode"

-Cannot speak during the episode

-Doesn't remember the episode, other than being confused

-She has always had extreme migraines

-Dry eyes

-Buring censations over body

-Backpain

The episodes were coming a few times a month, so we just thought she was "high" on meds. Now its so obvious its something medical. These episodes come so frequent now, where she is dead sober in a great conversation and she just gets a dead stare into space, her whole body tenses up and shakes, and she can't speak. Paralized like.

I am so worried, we were coming back from the ER (for me-not her) she was driving and had an episode. I was screaming stop the car, what are doing. She didn't even acknowledge I was there, she was all over the road. I had to pull her leg off the gas peddle and throw the car in park! I had to almost carry her into the backseat and drive off. OMG scariest moment of my life. My dad won't take her keys away!! He is an enabler, and i cant stand it.

Please help, what should I do??

This is really only something that can be discussed with a doctor, is there no walk in clinics that you can take her to. No good asking for symptoms and these will vary from person to person. She really needs to see someone and be properly assessed.
