Hi! everyone. I'm a new member of this wonderful site and I'm really glad I was able to discover allnurses.com. I enjoy reading all your discussions coz I found all the informations very helpful. I just have few question guys hope you could help me with this. I passed NCLEX last June 2006 and it was stated in the letter thAt I have to submit my SSN with in 3 years and if I was unable to do so the CA BON will destroy my file. Unfortunately, I can only have my SSN once I get to the U.S. of A. With the current problem of retrogression, I am no longer sure when to reach there. Now here are my questions, if I can't submit my SSN does this mean I have to really re-take NCLEX again? Are there other means for me to do to prevent this dreadful thing to happen?

You might get more help in the international nurses' forum. Also, have you tried contacting the CA BON?

Hi and welcome

All that will happen is your file after 3 years is destroyed and you have to re apply and pay any fees, you do not have to take NCLEX again (sometimes if several years have passed you may have to retake)

Suggest doing a search on this forum as this has been asked several times :)
