Question

Hi Guys,

Wanted to let you all know I am scheduled for the allergy testing next Wednesday. I will let you know how it goes.

I have a question and wanted to know what you think. My cat has bad eyes and we have to give him Gentamicin drops for his eyes. Well, I have gotten this stuff on my hands and arms trying to give it to him even though I have been very careful. I wash it immediately. Should I be concerned or mention it to my doctor? It is only a drop or two. I know the pill form can cause alot of problems for a newborn if the newborn or mom was to take it.

Thanks,

Jenn

I would ask my doctor....

but relax; if you have no symptoms, probably no harm done. Just be sure to run this one by your dr.

While you are pregnant, the best thing to do if you have any questions or concerns about anything is ask your doctor. Even if your family, friends or BB buddies tell you not to worry about something, just ask your doctor. He knows more about your personal, medical and obstetrical history than any of them (or us) do.

I know it's reassuring to get second opinions while you are pregnant...but even after I asked around I always checked in with my doctor, even if I thought it sounded dumb. I was always reassured.

Good luck to you and may you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Hey, Jen....so glad you are doing well. I know you are following with your physician very closely and I commend you for that. Yes, just do like Smiln' said and inform your physician about the med. I am sure you washed it away, but, do tell him/her.

Let us know how you do!!

We use gentamycin in infants as well as on moms in labor when necessary.
