question1

Why it is important to pay the training fee in your affiliation?

Featured Replies

not sure I understand. What training fee? Pay people to attend school or pay people to attend a class offered by the facility or what?

If you wish to belong to an association for a nursing specialty that educates, informs and advocates than yes it is a good thing. I belong to ANNAC for MDS nurses.

In the Philippines it is common to be charged a training fee and thus this post would be more suited to the Nursing in the Philippines forum.

In the US and Canada nurses do not need backers nor do they pay training fees to get hired into nurse residency or internship/externship programs. There may be contracts involved. But unlike the Philippines once nurses pay for school they do not have to pay a training fee to work in a hospital job.

There are additional trainings and certifications that nurses pay tuition for such as ACLS, NRP, PALS and certification prep training classes.
