A cervical radiation implant is placed in the client for treatment of cervical cancer. The nurse initiates what most appropriate activity order for the client?
The answers is bed rest, but I don't anderstand how bed rest can be an activity. This is the reason why I didnt answer this question correctly at answering question in Sanders 4th edition, chapter 51, page 662. I do anderstand that bed rest is the best for a client with a radiation implant, but why they said appropriate >? they make simple difficult just because they don't want us to pass.

When you're asked your pts activity status, that could be full weight bearing, bedrest with bathroom priveleges, etc. It could even be bedrest. If it helps you, perhaps think of it more as a pt with a radium implant shouldn't be doing alot of weight bearing activies, as this could dislodge the implant.
Thank you so much, I just didn't think that bedrest was an activity. I learn it today.
Thank you again, and have a good day
