Its day 2 at the doctors office I was hired at. Today they taught me how to draw blood. I didn't do to bad on that. My question is kind of silly. I was watching them weigh the patients and of course this will also be expected of me and I realized I have NEVER used a doctors scale???? Any help on this???

The best thing to do would be to speak up, and let the staff at the doctors' office know that you have never previously used that particular type of scale. I'm sure they'd be willing to show you, since a demonstration of proper use of those scales only takes a minute or two. Your orientation period is the golden time to ask about the things you've not been exposed to before. Good luck!

Well, since you brought up the balance beam scale, I have a question.
Do scale lines follow a universal standard for what each line represents? Long line whole number, shorter line 1/2 lb and smallest line 1/4 lb? Or, does that depend on the manufacturer who made the scale?
