Hi!
I hope you guys can help with this matter. So, I just received my ATT letter and the date on it is 02/02/12. However, it doesn't say when it'll expire. I read somewhere that NY ATT letters are good for 90 days only. Is that right? Also, do I have to register for pearson vue right now, or can I wait... I don't feel prepare to sit for the test yet, so I would like to shedule my test the late as I can, but of course within the 90 days. What do you guys recommend.
Thank's for all of the replies...
So, I just called the pearson vue to ask them about this. It looks like the letter that I received from NY it is not the ATT letter but a letter that says that I am eligible to register on pearson vue. I was told that I have to register with them, pay the 200$ fee and then they'll send me the ATT letter. Is that right??? Can somebody help me with this... I am really confused right now.... Thanks agai

Yes that is right, pearsonvue issue the ATT once the BON states it is OK, will have to pay pearsonvue first before they issue ATT
I am just wondering... How much time do I have to register for pearson vue after receiving the eligibility letter? Thanks's again.
anybody that can answer my question please??? Thank you very much :)
I believe that eligibility to sit NCLEX is a couple of years however ATT once issued is 90 days but this doesn't affect eligibility
If in doubt ask the BON
Thank you so much Siverdragon! I will then ask the BON just to make sure!

Inezita, Have you found out what's the validity of Eligibility Letter issued by NYS Board of Nursing? Thank you.
Yes I did. The eligibility letter is issued after the BON accept your transcripts... After they mail that letter to you, you are able to apply for NCLEX through Person Vue. The Eligibility Letter doesn't have an expiration date. However, once you register with Person Vue they're going to send you a ATT letter that is valid for 90 days. The NY BON also told me to contact them after I register with Person Vue.
