Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong place but I figured current nursing students would know best :-)
I'm looking into a BSN program and it lists the prerequisites as:
-Microbiology
-Chem
-A&P 1 and 2
-Statistics
I don't mean to sound stupid, but can it be any course? For example, is Chemistry 101 sufficient or does it normally need to be something more in depth? I've also never taken an intro to statistics course, but I've taken psychological statistics for my last degree (BA in psych) so might that be sufficient?
I'm also looking into Microbio courses but most of the classes I've seen list Bio 101 or something along those lines as a pre-req for the pre-req! Did any of you have to take an introductory biology course before doing Microbio?
Thanks!

I would talk to that schools department to get the specifics you need. For my program we have to take microbio but to take that we have to take bio 1 plus lab and chem plus lab. I can take general chem or principles of chem. And I would guess you have to take intro to statistics but just make a quick call to the department or talk to an advisor to make sure youre on the right track.

Talk to an advisor, pre-reqs are specific for nursing & you want to take the correct classes. Generally it is normal to have to take some sort of Intro to Bio class w/ lab as a pre-req for Micro/A&P. I know that is an extra class, but it sets a helpful foundation for Micro/A&P which are not the easiest of classes. Hang in there, you'll be through these classes before you know it.
