Thank you for checking my question.
I have been asked a question from the instructor why the client could be on a medication even though it may be contraindicated. I couldn't say anything because I had no idea.
Could somebody can tell me why? I need to answer the question when the next class begins. Help me please.
Thank you.

Sometimes the benefits out weighs the risks (contraindications)
It is a broad question so kind of hard to answer well
