Question about Frontier school and accreditation

I know that I'm looking ahead into the future, but I know that the choices that I make now may effect my future educational opportunities. Anyway, I have been researching Frontier (and a couple of others also) as a possible choice far into the future to obtain my master's degree. I've seen that they ask you to have graduated from a school with NLNAC or CCNE accreditation.

My husband is military, and we are currently stationed in California. I am in school for LVN right now, but plan to go straight to the LVN-RN (ADN) bridge as soon as I am able after graduating and becoming licensed. I went to the NLNAC website and was very very surprised to find that all of the very many community colleges that are surrounding me are lacking the accreditation. They are only approved by the California BON. The online RN-BSN program that I'm looking to go to is CCNE accredited. I don't know when we are getting orders to PCS out of here, so I was looking to finish my ADN here most likely. I'd really really hate until we got to our next base to have to complete my ADN. Plus, who's to say I won't run into the same problem there.

I cannot answer your question, however, something else you need to think about...it is very, very difficult to transfer from one ADN program to another. In fact, most won't accept nursing credits because the structure of the programs between schools is so unique, that the courses are generally not compatable between campuses.

I will definitely keep that in mind as I don't want to start anything that I won't be able to finish before we get orders. Thank you for your reply.

I talked to Frontier about this three years ago and they said don't bother with a school not regionally accredited as a college or unaccredited by one of the nursing school agencies.
