Question for Excelsior students...

Published

I need 3.0 more credits for the humanities section; and this is what Excelsior states, "6.0 required semester hours must be earned in a humanities subject area other than composition such as: art, music, literature, philosophy, foreign languages, religion, ethics, theatre, or speech."

So my question is can I take the CLEP exam under the title of just "Humanities?"

or does it have to be one of the areas listed above?

Thanks, Lisa

I also needed only 3 credits for Humanities, so I took DSST (Dantes) Ethics in America. I looked at CLEP Humanities (which is 6 credits) and decided that it requires way too much work that I want to invest in this subject. Call EC, talk to them. Look at what is available. I believe you can search for classes/exams that fits your degree and then choose what to do.

Anyhow, I'd suggest to ask for approval from EC first.

Good Luck!
