The "nursing concepts" titles are no longer used in the new curriculum. Here is a quick-n-dirty comparison between old and new exams:

* Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Safety = NC1

* Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Differences = NC2

* Essentials of Nursing Care: Chronicity = parts of NC3 + functional assessment (new) + end of life care (new)

* Essentials of Nursing Care: Reproductive Health = parts of NC3 + congenital anomalies (was in NC4)

* Health Differences Across the Life Span 1 = NC4 (minus congenital anomalies)

* Health Differences Across the Life Span 2 = NC5 + cognitive assessment (new)

* Health Differences Across the Life Span 3 = NC6

* Transition to the Registered Professional Nurse = NC7/Foundations of Professional Practice

That's it in a nutshell.

OOOOOhhhh....I get it...thank you...that helps a lot!!!

so when everyone is referring to nc1 , nc2 ....it's the same as health safety..etc...?

The exams are similar, but as Sue said, some people are still enrolled under the old curriculum (before October 1, 2007), so they're not exactly the same. But pretty close!
