a question about critical thinking

Could you please help me with a question about critical thinking?

Which of the following is an appropriate application of critical thinking?

A "I want a very good charge nurse to teach me what I can do, and what I can not do."

B "I believe no matter how complex the question is, there is simply one way to solve it."

C "I prefer to read the book by myself rather than rely on someone else's notes."

I forget what D is like, but I am sure D is not the correct one.

Yeah, heaven forbid someone should have to figure out the answer to a question about critical thinking for her/himself -- s/he might actually learn something about critical thinking that way ... :rolleyes:

C is the correct answer.

Is it because A is dependent; B is a belief; and only C shows an independent thinking way?
