Q's about UTA AP

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

First of all, I don't even live in the state of TX. I live in GA. I'm currently doing prerequisites for a college here. But 15 months to be done with my BSN sounds awfully persuading. I was wondering how the partner hospitals work. Do you have to be at a particular hospital? D they even have partner hospitals in GA? I tried to download the flyer it but kept saying that the page couldn't be found.... What is tuition? I do realize that mine would be out of state. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks!

The partner hospitals are in Texas. So, you cannot live in Georgia and do the nursing program at UTA.

This is true. The only UTA BSN program you could take from GA is the RN to BSN program.

Yes, I live in GA and I am in the RN-BSN program. Let me know if I can help in anyway!

Actually, the above is incorrect. I live in OC, CA and my facility (a teaching hospital) does have a partneship with UTA, for ADN-BSN and BSN-MSN 100% online; and yes, as a employee there is a tuition discount. I would advice you to contact an admission adviser at UTA...they should point you to a facilicy in your area who participate in the program.

Best of luck

I think the original poster is pre-license. Does that make a difference?

It does. If the OP is prelicensure, then she can NOT do the online UTA BSN unless she packs up and moves to Texas, as clinicals will be required and UTA works with partner hospitals in Texas to place students for them.

If the OP is already a RN (ADN or diploma) then she can do the UTA RN-BSN program while remaining in GA.

Are there any clinicals for the RN-BSN program?
