Quality Improvement Organization. They are partnering with agencies under Medicare direction to help get outcome based data off the ground. Did your QIO contact you yet?

the qio in pa is quality insights of pa.http://www.qipa.org/medprohomehealth.asp they have been much more proactive than our prior keypro organization.

my agency is signed up as test group to get obqi off the ground here. i can put you in touch with our qi manager if interested.

much focus on improving our client's functional status, pain mgmt, rate retrun to hospital.

better dig out our quality goal sheet as i'm at a loss for others :imbar

too busy in auth dream land as we have copay's for mc hmo's in my area to contend with!

OK, but can I just say...look at how many times the same initials are used in different arrangements, when they are all refewrring to basically the same thing.

Why can't we just keep it simple? It is getting ridiculous

I know hoolahan it is alot of intials, QA, QI, PI, OBQI LOL. I have been in touch with the Keypro here and they have been very helpful. I hope to submit something in March on foley infections.

I got a great QI kit from my QIO today. I plan to put it to good use. Not everyone gets excited about QM! LOL.

Martha the QI director at my agency participates in conference calls with Quality insights asthey are PA reviewer.

KEYPRO lost PA's contract as not as proactive as Quality Insights. I see a BIG difference with QI providing tons of info and conference calls this year. Also, CMS has released $$$ and rebid companies across US to shakeup and improve quality for MC clients.

I keep trying to log onto the monthly conference calls and I am so swamped I usually cannot get to do so. We hired a new DON so that will free me up to do more QM.
