Public drunkness

Nurses Criminal

Published

I was wondering about a public drunkness charge I got walking home. I was not driving cause I knew better but they still got me and I was only a mile from home. Now I am worried about my lpn license and background checks. Please help? Will it affect me?

I honestly have no idea, but learn from it. People love to gossip, so even if you make it out without the charge causing you problems, anyone can say, "hey, I saw nurse so-in-so staggering down Main Street." And you must have done something to draw attention to yourself, or else how would the cops know you were drunk? They typically will not mess with someone unless they are obviously intoxicated, carrying alcohol, fighting, screaming, swaying, etc...

I hate to say this, but if you must drink, invite friends over and drink at home. Or go to a friends house and stay there until it wears off. We are living in a world where nothing is private anymore.

Good luck!
