I was a med nurse at a psychiatric hospital 2 years ago. However, I never had to pass meds to more than 23 patients. My entire shift involved nothing but med pass, giving PRN meds, and counting narcs with the oncoming shift. The RN did all the admissions and charting. I did, however, have to obtain the additional blood glucose reading. One time I had an incontinent patient, and had to help the techs change her diaper.
