I was planning to take it this summer, but it is only being offered online this summer....I have heard other students say it is a massive amount of reading and assignments online, but not so much in class?
What has been your experience?
I am also taking Algebra...(which is easy for me).....and I want to take it in the summer, as I am planning to do A&P1 in the fall...
Thanks!

I agree that psych is one of those fields where it's much easier to take classes in person if you can. The online version probably involves a lot more reading, writing and memorization. In person a good teacher would probably introduce you to concepts and then you would discuss them as a class so the material would be easy to learn and remember.

I'm taking the online psych class right now. My advice for you: DON'T! At least if you work full time. I work full time and taking A&P I at the same time. I'm getting a good grade, but it's too much! It's about 150 pages of reading a week and a lot of memorization is involved. To me, a lot of meaningless questions are asked in the online quizes such as who made this or that theory or quotes mentioned in the chapters. The written assignments and discussions are good though.

I am taking Psych online at the moment and I am doing great so far; true there's a lot of reading, however I find it easy just to read the chapter summary instead of the entire chapter itself. Also, it gives you the upper hand of reading your notes while taking the online test, hence the chances of you getting a perfect score is almost 99.99% at a time. And I agree with Staragate, regarding written assignments and online discussions are great.
FYI...I have a full time job and I am taking 15 credits on campus.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your responses!
I feel like I have no choice really. I'd rather do it in class...but I don't want to wait until Sept, as I am taking A&P then, and I want to be able to fully concentrate on A&P only.
I guess I just need to bite the bullet, and do it....to get it done!
