Hello everyone! Yes I talked to Daryl and he said we should be hearing by both e-mail and mail by the end of Sept. I believe I got an 84 on the Kaplan but I've been confused about the weighted score. Wish everyone the best of luck!

Oh my goodness! You are almost guaranteed acceptance in my opinion! Yes it's all a bit nerve wracking to be sure! Did you write about your academic past in your essays? Also does anyone know how many people they are accepting this semester?

BON Secours nursing program
@ED.RN, BSN I don't think I can private message you on here yet because I do not have 15 topics posted but I would love to know what your STATs were, how you like the program, did you have a separate degree in something else, did you have health care experience? What did you write about in your essays? I wish you had messaged sooner because we have all submitted our apps as they were due the 1st of March. Darn! haha! But thank you so much for responding and giving us your advice!! It is much appreciated. I know I went to the info session and they said the avg. GPA last year was a 3.3 but I feel like that's a bit low? I don't know. So sorry for all the questions!

Hello all! I have recently applied to the Bon Secours college of nursing for the Fall of 2017. Was wondering if there was anyone out there who can join the waiting game with me! Any updates or any info regarding the process or if you get in would be awesome! Just wanted to open a forum for hopefuls and in the process of waiting! Fingers crossed!

BON Secours nursing program
Oh I'm sorry to hear that! I hope this year it changes! Yes, I am a bit worried too and I emailed the director of admission (I think?), Maria Vasquez and she said they will be meeting to make decisions in the first week of May. The comment they made about your essay is not helpful at all. They should have been more specific. Now I am worried I was not clear enough on my essays. Maybe we could keep each other updated! I would love to read your essay and have you read mine so we can compare notes. I'm so uneasy now and May is so far away!!

Tips for personal essay!
I believe I have decided on question number 2 in both categories. I wanted to speak about defiying the sterotypes (as I am a hispanic 1st generation to be the first in my family to graduate college), but I'm not sure if that is a good respnse to that question. In regards to the second question, I wanted to write about how I believe nursing is a service profession through the act of communication and how I have realized how vital and important that is as I have seen not being able to communicate to health professionals as I experienced this with my mother and her not being able to speak english. Im not sure if that is too much on my cultural background and/or heritage.

Tips for personal essay!
There are four questions which are: Category 1: Please answer one of the following essay prompts. 1. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure or setback. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn? 2. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again? Category 2: Please answer one of the following essay prompts. 1. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal that impacted you personally and highlights your strengths. 2. Nursing is a service profession. What does this mean to you?

Bon secours memorial college of nursing
Hey there My3pumpkins! Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate it! Also, congrats on getting accepted and starting your third semester! Out of curiosity did you have a bachelors in a separate degree? I have one in Spanish translation and it says on the website that I do not need to take the TEAS test because I already have a bachelors but i'm wondering if it will make a difference? I am applying in March and am so nervous... I work at a Bon Secours facility and will get one of my references from my boss there. How are you liking the program so far?!

Am I good enough?
Hello to the Nursing World! I have recently graduated from a Bachelors program in something completely different than nursing (Spanish interpretation). I have completed my pre-req with an A in A&P 1 and 2, a B in Developmental Psych, an A in Stats, and a C in Micro. I graduated with a 3.29 and am looking to apply to a program that had an average GPA of 3.3 last year. It is Bon Secours College of Nursing. I had a rough time my freshman year and got a D in my Biology 152 class and had to retake it twice. I got all As and Bs after that as I did not know what I wanted to do when I first got to college and started as a Bio major. Basically do you think my chances are dead after getting 2 Ds in my Biology 152 class? I am very worried. Please help!!
