Hi! I am from New York and just took my NCLEX today. I finished nursing school back in January and was scheduled to take my NCLEX in March. My NCLEX was cancelled three times due to the coronavirus before being able to take it today. So far they do have dates available but they are limited. I picked out my date in May to take my NCLEX back in April. I suggest you check everyday to try to get a sooner date as people tend to drop or reschedule their testing dates all the time. Also don't be surprised if it does get cancelled, but I hope it doesn't.

Every semester is different. Our cut off GPA for the semester I applied was a 3.5 although I heard som students get in with a 3.3. The teas score depends on the median passing score. For my year the passing score was a 65. What I heard is they start from a 4.0 and work their way down without even looking at the teas score but making sure that you passed with the 65. Once they get down to the 3.5s they start looking at teas scores (the higher the better) Bc they compare it to other students that are around that same GPA grade to see who they choose. Every year it changes so I'm not sure if this is the way they still do it. Do make sure this is something you really want to do as the program is difficult. Best of luck.

The people at the front desk of the nursing office always told me I could take corequisities after each semester. I talked to the chairperson since I hadn't taken AP2 and was told by her you must take corequisites before or at the same time as your nursing classes. Therefore you need to take AP2 and child psych during the summer or during your first semester.

Hi MashaW, At orientation they gave two papers out for CastleBranch. They're two different codes the first one gives you access to drug test and documents and the second one gives you access to the backgroud check. as for the Sherpath I just checked online at the bookstore website and it says it's in stock? Maybe you're able to return what you already bought and purchase it online, although I suggest calling bookstore and finding out if it is actually in stock. Maybe they're able to order directly from Sherpath.

Hi caitjd21, I called the direct line and a lady picked up. She just took down my full name and emplid i.d. I told her I really needed the information. She said If I don't get anything to call back Friday but I got a call five minutes later from the nursing department and spoke to a guy I don't remember his name but he informed me I was on the list.

So I got the courage to call! They told me I was on the list so I'm officially accepted into the program. I was accepted with a 3.5 pre-req GPA and a 75.3 on the TEAS with overall GPA of 3.9. He also told me if I don't receive letter to give them a call on Tuesday. Congrats to everyone else who got accepted! I've never been more happier in my life!lol

Hi nicole327, I wasn't sure if you were talking to me. I know her GPA wasn't bad it should have been between a 3.5 and 3.7 but she failed the TEAS by a point so that's probably the reason she didn't get in.

Hi everyone, my classmate received denial on December 29,2016 by email for spring 2017. Someone else said they also received an email for waitlist. I'm not sure if they're changing the process but they usually send out approval letters by mail. Although when I handed my application back in November the guy told me I should receive an email. I had also called last week and they told me letters were sent out. I guess we will have to wait to see which one it'll be.

She said city tech email but I checked all of my emails and nothing. I'll ask her when she received the email and get back to everyone.
