Jacksonville University traditional BSN Fall 2017
Have you looked at collegescorecard.ed.gov? This school has very decent graduation and retention rates. It doesn't appear as though the vast majority of students are paying tuition via Federal loans which is another indicator of quality. Also, the student debt load after graduation, around $22,000, seems doable on the wages of a new nurse. These statistics and more are on the aforementioned site. All this likely means is that your chances of success at JU seem to be in your favor despite the rather high costs. Still it is important to explore all possibilities that make financial sense. Many students become RNs at a fraction of the cost by attending community colleges by taking the prerequisites prior to attending a reputable university. This approach could save you a lot of money to say the least.

Need opinions
This is good and correct as it follows the vaunted chain of command and should be construed as a constructive approach to protect the patients, nurses and hospital from legal retribution if something goes wrong as a result of the deficiencies you have outlined. Unfortunately in my experience the road to hell is indeed paved with good intentions. So expect to be censured for your honest input and run out of town. After you are gone some administrator, nursing or otherwise, may make changes, take credit for what you have pointed out and then receive an employee of the year plaque at the annual hospital employee recognition dinner.

Never chart this
Write this instead of that: •This patient is drunk. ("only two beers, I swear!" ) •This patient is looney-tunes. (arrives with suitcase full of unused psych meds) *under personal possessions •This patient is a pervert. (Invites you to see his "rare butterfly collection post discharge") This patient is nasty. ( room malodorous like decayed road kill)-for some mysterious reason??? •This patient smells like he has never taken a bath in his life. (same as above)

Is flipping a coin a "fair" way to decide who stays when there is a call-in?
Not if you lose, I suppose.
