  1. LSSC Fall 2017

I have a 3.35 GPA and a 93.5 hesi score and was accepted. My letter came today. It just has a few dates and deadlines with a process for fingerprinting ($120). I went to school here and live in the area which helps.
  2. LSSC Fall 2017

The school website has past admissions scores for the hesi and gpa in their information packet if that would be of any help. Of course since it is a community college, it gives preference to those living in the region.
  3. HESI A2: Don't stress- Tips from a recent test taker!

Elsevier study guide my school uses ISBN 9781455738298 A simple Google search of isbn will bring it up. If study guide seems overly simple it is because the entrance test itself is.
  4. HESI A2: Don't stress- Tips from a recent test taker!

You only need to take the sections your school requires and if you aren't applying elsewhere I would only recommend taking those portions of the test, so you don't sit through an unnecessarily long test where you may start to get tired or lose focus.
  5. i already feel rejected

Many times those who have 4.0 GPAs applied to schools outside of their place of residence. Many schools fill seats with readmissions first who meet requirements, then local students (living within that particular county), then transfer/nonlocal stude...
  6. HESI A2: Don't stress- Tips from a recent test taker!

  7. Which plan of study would you choose?

I agree 100%. My teacher for A&P 2 is more difficult because none of his tests are multiple choice so it actually ensures I know the material well. But he is a great teacher and I have learned alot. However, you need to balance difficulty and mak...
  8. Any perspective from other Military Vets

Real talk. Yeah embracing the suck in the Army is definitely a positive experience because you know life could be worse. Not only that, we have been through long ass days with no sleep wearing gear in hot ass and cold ass weather. I'm a 25 year old d...
  9. Which plan of study would you choose?

I agree with the first option. I did A&P in the summer. Very fast paced, but you can definitely do well with a little effort. As for the rate my professor, I agree with the post above. Many times the instructors with the harsh tatings are more di...
  10. Veteran to BSN programs

I just stumbled upon VBSN programs at fsu when I was looking at different schools in Florida. I'm a veteran but not a combat medic (13b) and I saw they have accelerated VBSN for those with medical MOS background and traditional VBSN for veterans with...
  11. I might apply next year. I would've this year if I was certain I would go this route but I took extra prerequisites for the general transfer AA that I wouldn't even need for an ASN. I'm curious as what the GPA requirements are generally the cut-off f...
