  1. VanessaXx did you get the job? Curious because I will be starting with AHH soon. Thanks
  2. Let us know how you do on the test. I'm looking into taking the exam in August. Thanks and Good Luck!
  3. Thanks for that response KariZayBSN! Very informative. What do you do currently with the insurance companies? I have been thinking about case management and utilization review with insurance companies and would like as much information on the two positions as possible. Again your response was very helpful.
  4. Why did you leave the company and what did you pursue in place of it? I just applied for a position with Humana. I currently feel like I am burned out on nursing and hope a telephonic position from home is something that I will enjoy...
  5. I am very interested in working from home as a case manager or an equivalent position for an insurance company. I currently live in Florida, my husband has always lived here and the summers are getting too hot for him. Our goal is to travel north for the summers. I would love to be able to bring my work with me during the summer months. So my question is for nurses who currently work at home...Would traveling and continuing to work be accepted in those positions or do companies make that impossible? I've thought of just getting a prn job when we go north for several months, but I would love to keep the same job if able. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to pursue this route if it can not be done. Thanks again for any information!!
  6. If the patients prognosis is most likely death once the bipap is removed and the idea of giving the pt some pain medicine prior to removal to ensure they don't have difficulties or suffer any discomfort why not. It also gives families peace of mind at a very difficult time. They know they are losing a loved one. Most family members will not be medical people and have not experienced this before. The patient is going to die either way, why not make it as pleasant as possible. If I'm dying I would definitely want to be medicated, why suffer when we have medications to keep us comfortable. And imagine if your not medicated and start to feel the gasping breathlessness, I wouldn't want to do that to someone I loved or someone I'm caring for.
