  1. Well since you asked, No I don't think it is ok to marry below yourself. I don't mean to sound snobby because at first it may be ok but you will grow to resent him. I have seen it happen so many times to friends and myself. I believe you might have this thought in the back of your head or else why even ask. I wish you luck. I completely disagree with this post. Just because your spouse has a lesser paying job than you does not mean that you are "marrying below yourself" That isn't what makes a marriage successful. It is mutual respect for one another. Our opinions don't really matter. What matters is how you and your boyfriend feel about you possibly making more money and that he might be a stay at home dad. Go with your heart. If you have no doubts that he is the one for you then go for it. Good luck!
  2. Also check out http://www.cookchildrens.com They are a great Children's hospital in Ft. Worth.
  3. I know that the Kindred hospitals hire LVN's. There website is: http://www.kindredhealthcare.com I also know that Hugley hospital hires LVN's. I could not find a website for them though. Good luck!
  4. I know that Children's Medical Center in Dallas uses PICU NP's. Not sure if they are hiring, but I would definitely get in touch with them. They have a very large ICU that is broken down into trauma, heart, and medical. They are the only Children's hospital in Texas that has a level 1 designation. Here is there website: http://www.childrens.com Good luck!
  5. Hello everyone: Well I am going back to the NICU again. I worked in a level III for 2.5 years as a new grad and then left for a better schedule and less stress. I have worked in a pediatric neurology outpatient clinic for the last five years and have loved it. I learned tons and I got to see some of the "ex-preemies", but didn't feel very challenged. I've worked PRN in a level III nursery for the last 2.5 years so I have "kept my foot in the door". I could just never bring myself to give NICU up completely. There is just something about those babies. I start full-time in another level III NICU next week. I am very excited, but a little nervous as well. I will be leaving my comfort zone, but my dream is to be a successful NICU nurse for the long term. If and when things get tough for me I will be coming here for support and advice :) Wish me luck!!
