  1. @AshleySoon2BSN I’m not sure how common it is. I received a call from the recruiter with both offers and was asked to decide which one I wanted to accept. Best of luck Ashley!
  2. Hmm I don’t think there’s a contract, at least there was no mention of it during either of my interviews or when I got the offer.
  3. I ended up getting an offer for Gen Peds and cardiology last week, I chose cardiology! ?Super excited to start
  4. I had selected med/surg float pool, cardiology, & gen peds (in that order, I think)
  5. Hi! Anyone else starting at Ascension Seton this October? I got an offer at Dell Children’s ☺️ So excited!
  6. I have a gen peds interview next week, got an email from the recruiter this past Monday. And just got an invite for a cardiology one today. Looks like they’re still reaching out!
  7. Been a while since I’ve checked this, sorry y’all! Yes, my bad. This was definitely for their October start haha. Funny, I had emailed them a while back to ask when they would open applications for their Fall start and they told me they weren’t going to have an October start this year….weird. Plus the dates on their website were a little mixed up. Thus why I thought this was for February! Maybe they ended up needing more people than they thought? It’s great news for us though ? Anyone else heard back? ??
  8. Howdy ? Thought I'd create a thread for people applying to the October 2021 residency - which opens up tomorrow! Super nervous. What are everyone's preferred units? I'm really hoping Hem/Onc is hiring residents this time around. Good luck everyone!
  9. Hey y'all, I recently found this thread and it kept me sane through this week LOL. I got an offer for the acute surgical track today around 3pm ?
  10. I just finished mine, it was pretty intense. ? I had been so anxious to get it over with but once it started I felt more at ease, the panel was super friendly. Hoping for the best, and wishing everyone else the best of luck too ??
  11. Not hearing anything is giving me so much anxiety, especially since interviews are supposed to be the first week of October ? Still have my fingers crossed ??
  12. YAY! Wishing everyone the absolute best! I also just got a call for med/surg ?
  13. Hey everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for people who applied for the upcoming February residency cohort - didn't see one. Which track did you apply to? ? I applied for the med/surg one. Crossing my fingers and hoping to hear about an interview? Good luck!
  14. Hey everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for people who applied for the upcoming February residency cohort - didn't see one. What did y'all list as your top 3 units? ? I put ED, CICU and meg/surg. Crossing my fingers and hoping to hear about an interview soon ? Good luck!
  15. Yes, I graduated in 2016. I called/e-mailed the nursing department just to verify I could use my HESI scores, though.
  16. Hi DarbyC13! I got accepted into the AO Spring '19 program, and I'm pretty sure being partnered has A LOT to do with it. I also had a previous degree from UTA, but my GPA wasn't as high as a lot of other applicants (some of which got wait-listed). My total points did not even add up to 8. That being said, don't worry too much about comparing stats with other applicants! I'm saying this because it stressed me out, personally, even more than not knowing what everyone else's GPA looked like lol. The three considerations will definitely help but I think being partnered is like a golden ticket. Of course, it all really depends on the applicant pool for that semester. And if you wanted you could retake a few classes to boost your GPA, too. If you were enrolled at UTA prior to Fall 17 you can use your HESI scores, which I was able to do. Otherwise you would have to take the TEAS. Best of luck! And whatever you do, don't give up! :) It's definitely possible.
  17. Officially got my denial e-mail a few hours ago, luckily I got accepted into another program literally right before haha so I wasn't too bummed out. Congrats to everyone who got in!!! :)
  18. LOL that was me all week, what a relief though! Congratulations!!!
  19. I just got my acceptance e-mail for the AO program!!!
  20. I just got my acceptance e-mail for the AO program!!!
  21. Hey y'all, I've been commenting on the other Spring '19 thread...but hi! Lol. I don't know how much longer I can wait without going absolutely insane Sending good vibes everyone's way
  22. I took Intro to Nursing with Pharm & Patho this summer, it's not too bad! I took it online with Kristin Sterling; her exams were super straight-forward. And we had a review for each one. The final is not comprehensive
  23. From what I was told by the admissions office, the transcript from the school you graduated from showing your degree earned is enough proof as far as the 'proof of Bachelor's degree' requirement goes. Same goes for the Med Term course/certification; they'll see it on your transcript if you didn't get an actual certificate :)
  24. I just finished sending all of my supplemental items in, eeek! Does anyone know how long it normally takes to hear back after the deadline about an interview?
  25. Well, today's the application deadline. I imagine this thread is going to get pretty busy lol Best of luck to EVERYONE, and good luck in your summer classes if you're taking any!
