NYU Fall 2018
Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Yes I took all my classes at BMCC straight out of high school. For the professors that I do recommend for some of the requirements for NYU and nursing in general are: Nutrition: Maxx Rivera Sociology: Deborah Gambs developmental psychology: Lisa Greco Joseph The rest of my science professors are either retired or I wouldn't recommend at all How I studied honestly was a rollercoaster because I was still getting use to the college life because I did graduate HS a year early and went straight to college when I turned 17. It was hard at first but what I recommend is flashcards are super important (at least for me), diagrams, drawings (I'm very much a visual learner), I also recorded lectures and rewrote the slides to my understanding. That's what seemed like it worked for me :), I hope that helps and hopefully you get in to NYU when you apply. I definitely recommend checking the CCTOP scholarship.

NYU Fall 2018
Thank you everyone! Honestly I don't think my GPA was the best. Overall I have a 3.5 GPA. AP1 i got a C+ (yeah I know ugh) AP2: A Micro: B Statistics: B Psychology Human Development I got an A Nutrition: A Hopefully I put down all the main prerequisites, I took a bunch of other classes that got me a 3.5 and I think they saw that I was progressively getting better with my grades throughout my time in BMCC, I know it's not like a 4.0 but I think my essay and letter of recommendation stood out to them. Also I did do a lot of volunteer work in Hospitals, soup kitchens, Senior homes, etc.. Don't lose hope!

NYU Fall 2018
I was looking at old threads for people who applied to NYU during fall semesters, a lot of their responses were they heard back in the May 20's range. So we actually might hear back next week. Oh boy

NYU Fall 2018
No :/ I'm trying to keep patient but the fact that I don't know if my career is taking off this fall or not is killing me.

NYU Fall 2018
We can only hope for the best right now :/ Hopefully we hear back soon, the wait is so agonizing

NYU Fall 2018
They haven't asked me either, I thought that would be the reason for the long wait lol. I'm 18 turning 19 soon.

Just a random question, you don't have to answer. Is anyone here under 20?

NYU Fall 2018
Nicee. I go to Borough of Manhattan Community College and I'm finishing my sophomore year here. Maybe NYU wants to check our grades after this semester ends? Idk, I wish I could find out already

NYU Fall 2018

-
NYU Fall 2018
Haven't heard anything yet. So anxious.

NYU Fall 2018
Omg congrats! Which CC did you transfer from? Is it CUNY?
-
NYU Fall 2018
Don't lose hope, there are plenty of people who had low 3.0's and got in. NYU focuses on the entire application rather than just your GPA.

NYU Fall 2018
Hey guys, I also applied as a transfer student to NYU Meyers from BMCC. Super nervous and I asked admissions when we'll hear back, they said letters would go out mid may/early June. So glad I found this thread! Hopefully we all get in :)

NYU Transfer students
Hi everyone, I wanted to know if theres anyone who has transferred to NYU from a two or four year school and ask how it went for them. How was your transition and your college experience there or so far. Also if you have participated in school clubs and was an active student. I am applying for Fall of 2018 as a transfer student. Please let me know as much as you can. And please I want to hear from transfer students- not accelerated. Thank you :)

Community college to Hunter, NYU nursing!
Hi everyone! I have a question. Is there a possible way to apply to Hunter college nursing from a community college without being an RN? I understand I have to be a student first there and then get into the program. Like do I get an associates in liberal arts and a bunch of nursing pre reqs? I'm also applying to NYU nursing and Ive only done one semester of from BMCC so far and I have to submit my SAT scores to NYU and they aren't good...... Basically does anyone know how much do SAT scores heavily weigh in your admission. I have a 3.4 GPA from college and a 3.8 from HS. I have a lot of volunteer experience. Thank you
