I just received my acceptance email at 10:59 am. I'm super excited. @Maria Mandhai I would try to reach out to one of the FNP program coordinators and see if they can expedite the process. If not, just keep calling them. I heard they are not that great when it comes to returning calls.

Did you do the RN-BSN program? The process was not too bad for me. I did the priority deadline as well and heard back for an Interview beginning of April. I would reach out to someone at the student affairs office and see what the next process would be for you.

@nsummer I also got the email for the immunizations as well. So hopefully we will hear back sometime this week.

Yeah, it says "conditionally admitted." What about yours?

@PinasRN I do not know how many they accept. I can ask one of my coworkers who’s enrolled right now. My interview went well. I actually followed up with the person who emailed me about the interview and she told me it went well and I should be receiving something soon. I’m currently in DFW working.

Hey guys, I have not seen a thread for the Fall 2021 FNP program for UT Health Houston so I thought I would start one. I had my interview on May 5th. I still have not received an email regarding my admissions or anything, but I did follow up with someone a week after and she said I should be getting it soon so fingers crossed. Has anyone else heard anything or interviewed?

Hi, they were really quick about getting back to me with an interview. Yeah, they do not really have much info there. But they were pretty fast about getting back to me. I was also offered a position on the spot after my interview and got a formal email the day after. I did not accept the position and went with another hospital. The interview was more of a panel interview with 5 nurses present.

I am a new grad and moved to Fort Worth 6 months ago and I am having a very hard time getting nurse residency positions. I did not think it would be this hard. I moved from Houston. And whenever I apply to normal RN positions, I get rejected because I don’t have the experience. It’s been very discouraging. I wish you the best though and hope you find something soon.

This is seriously going to be the longest week of my life lol. My anxiety is out of control.

Has anyone else gotten the emails? I still haven't received one. For those who have received an email, when did you submit your application?

I havent heard anything either, which is weird.

So when I took patho, I took McArthur. It is similar to A&P but a lot more detailed. Like super detailed. My advice is too keep up with the class, study for it at least an hour a day. DO NOT wait last minute to study. Our tests were really detailed. You have to know where a certain disease originated from, what caused it, symptoms, treatments, etc. We also got case studies and we had to figure out a treatment during the test. We had powerpoints as well, but we also had word documents that were super detailed notes, which helped a lot. Even with those word documents, I still had to read the book. If you have not purchased the study guide for the class, DO IT. It helped so much with our class, because it had different patients and different scenarios. Hope I helped and not scared you all lol. I also applied to UH for spring entry as well. I am little nervous about it being one year because everything will be fast paced, but we will see. I graduated from UH with my bachelors.

Where did you receive an email? The only email I got was about the nursingcas cycle.
