  1. Thanks you guys for the advice. I decided to go back to my grandparents and stay there. I DO NOT want to see them end up in a nursing home.
  2. I just have ti get in school. Thats thats the problem. Idk if I even wanna be in the health care field anymore
  3. Haha I know. They literally wanna feed me till im a fat pig. I guess thats not a bad thing though. Im just not a big eater
  4. It's actually my grandparents, cash every week. No taxes on it.
  5. Hey guys, ok so I need advice . I recently got offered to get payed to stay with my grandparents about 2 hours from where I live.i can stay in the basement which is almost like an apartment. Im literally just gonna get payed for being there, I'm not like really taking care of them, they just like to know someone's there at nightime. At home I work full time at a nursing home,it's backbreaking work and I make alrite money with all the overtime and bonuses. Anyway I went and stayed already at my grandparents house and I was just so bored all the time, but knew I was doing a good thing. So now I'm back at home and came back to the nursing home I worked at previously,it's turned into nightmare since I left. Everyone has quit,we work short everyday, patients is terrible. So my question is am I completely crazy for not knowing if I want to go back and stay with my grandparents (and get paid) fed,pay no bills, and go to school and get help financially from them? The only thing holding me back is I love living with my mom and sister, but I'm accomplishing nothing. But if I stay with my grandparents, I'll be helping them, keeping them company, and going to school. Just need some advice I guess.
  6. Well it might not be any different but I'm not a nurse unfortunately, I'm a nurse assistant. Where I work nurses pass pills, and the assistants do all the lifting, bathing, showering, toileting with no help. And see with me I'm doing this for 9 to 12 or 14 hours than go home and drink till I fall asleep. It's a terrible habbit, I know but I'm just so used to it that I don't think about it.
  7. I'm nowhere near your level of education but in my experience in healthcare field, most supervisors don't care if your sick or even dying as long as you come to work. "I am sick I can't even get out of bed." "So your coming in to work right?" "My kid's in the hospital." "So we will see you at work today right?"
  8. Thank you! It's just a topic I wanted to talk about. I mean my god. I feel I've said I appreciate it a thousand times when they bring us stuff. I just wanted to see what other thought about. 50% just negative or rude feedback. My goodness guys, lighten up. But I appreciate the feedback anyway. Haha thanks guys.
  9. Tell the family member you'd appreciate if they stop what their doing. But even sometimes that doesn't work. I know some family members that are "out there" if that doesn't work you'll have to get with don or administrator
  10. Well I take care of sick people all day and I think the last time I got sick was a year ago. I'm convinced it does build your immune system. But I usually get sick once a year, and when i get sick I get SICK for about a week. After that I'm good for another year. It's weird. Now, the only thing I'd be worried about for you is the S word scabies. Yes, I said it, I'm sorry. But in good news it's very easy to get rid of with permethrin cream
  11. That person's just jealous of you . My sister is the same way. She makes the highest grades in her nursing class and alot of classmates dislike her
  12. I know it's like it's so hard to say no when it's someone you yourself take care of and their family. I am in no way saying I am not thankful at all
  13. I know and what I'm saying is it is impossible to say no to homemade pienwhen a family brings it in! I'm VERY thankful hough
  14. I don't blame you. It's hard not to eat the Thanksgiving food though. I can never turn it down
  15. Haha it must have protein somewhere in peanut butter cookies!
