I just passed my LVN NCLEX about a week ago and looking to get into McLennan Community College for their LVN to ADN program. I will be driving 30 mins from Killeen but I was wanting to know if their program has an online portion or is it all on campus? Just wanting to get some information on the bridging program there.

I didn't leave on bad terms at all. I just didn't put in a two weeks notice that's all. As a matter of fact I was sick often around that time before they came out with Covid 19(all the symptoms that I had lead me to believe I had covid19) and I had run out of PTO and they were always on people's behinds about missing work even when I put in PTO. I am very upset about this decision and pretty much the only school that don't have Baylor Scott and White as their clinical site is Vista. I don't want to go to Vista but I have no choice because I don't want to wait two years. Vista only offers the LVN program. I will start with them hopefully in August and then I'll work as a lvn right after and then utilize that time to take my co reqs and pre reqs for my Accelerated BSN. Thank you so much.

Today was such a bad day for me where do I begin? So I already got accepted in the ADN program for Fall 2020 in Texas so I was happy for a minute. There was a thing on our acceptance letters that stated if you feel like anything would barr you from doing clinicals at Baylor Scott and White (which is one of our school's biggest partner for clinical sites) then contact the director of nursing. I used to work for BSW recently and quit due to personal and medical issues. Apparently I was told by my director that I had to contact the hospital(BSW) for a student account access since they denied me access to epic. So I contacted the hospital and I was thinking this shouldn't hinder my chances of starting the program but boy was I wrong. The HR told me that I would have to wait for 2 years since I didn't put in a two week notice when I quit my job. I felt like this was very unfair and my school basically told me oh well sorry can't do anything for you. ? What are my options? I don't know how to process all of this. This has discouraged me to continue on. I have zero hope. I worked so hard for this, took me two years for my dreams to get shut down. How do you come back from this?,?

@Dstiny1913 actually i had a friend who applied to just the LVN program and didn't get in but I am going to be applying to both programs next year.

Ok so this is my first time taking A&P and my gawd my brain is already fried. Anyways for the life of me I can't figure out a way to remember the tissues, function etc. I am having such a hard time. . Is there another way to this or do i just need study hard? My last test was a 95 and I love this class but this chapter is giving me a hard time. Are there any tips??

Hey guys i am taking my 3 pre reqs right now at Temple College hoping to apply to the spring semester next year. Well since you guys are already in the program i wanted to ask you guys an embarrasing question:(. I transferred from Central Texas college and was placed on suspension because i had a very low GPA(below 2.0) i know i know i had alot of medical issues back then and plus my kids were still very young back then and i really wanted to complete my pre reqs at ctc but there were alot of things going wrong in my life at that time. So I finally decided to come to Temple College because it is a nice environment and i felt like now is my time and i am ready. I am almost done with A&P 1, General Psych, and English Comp and so far i got A's and B's i have been studying very hard and serious about getting in to the ADN program or the LVN but i am starting to feel sad because i finally realized that what if that's still not enough to bring my GPA up to par and I am over here wanting to apply to the ADN program but i feel like since my GPA is below 3.0 they will deny my application:(even if i get A's and B's in my pre reqs)? Question should i keep on taking more classes to bring my GPA up or should i apply to the ADN program after taking my pre reqs??please help me out here thank you all

Ok i had a friend who got in the RN program last year and she failed the program(med-surg). I am almost done with my pre reqs for my ADN and will be applying to the ADN program for spring of next year. I am now worried because my friend was telling me that it was hard and that I should start off as an LVN. I do have experience as a CNA but I was only a CNA for about a year and I also took a Pharmacy Tech class just so I can have an idea on what Pharmacology would be like in Nursing school. Anyways, should i just start off as an LVN first or just apply to the ADN program??Please can you guys give me some advice please? I am also planning on applying to both program??what do you guys think????

Alex was asking for our opinions on the matter. Alex also mentioned that she did not think that the nurse(who posted on social media) violated HIPAA. So why are you guys attacking her????Anyways, I also don't think that the nurse who posted on social media violated HIPAA but see nowadays you have to be extra careful because some people will always try to get you in trouble for no apparent reason.

Ok first of all, I have to retake this class because i took it back in 2013 and failed it miserably:( . I was going through so much back then and I am willing to take this class again so i can apply to the ADN program next yr spring. I am currently taking the two pre reqs that i need for the LVN program but for summer and fall i am taking my last 3 classes for pre reqs for the ADN program. So i am going to be applying for both programs just in case. Anyway's what are some of the ways to improve my writing???I will be taking this class again and i will work my butt off but just wanting to know how can i improve my writing skills???since english is my second language and sometimes i struggle with the right words to put on my essays. I am currently taking intro to A&P and a computer science class(pre reqs for the LVN program) for my school. Now i am planning on taking Anatomy and Physiology 1, General psychology and English 1301 during the summer time(Pre reqs for RN program). Do ya'll think this is too much? I am taking intro to A&P and i feel so overwhelmed with alot of information and couldn't imagine myself taking those 3 classes during summertime. I wanted to ask you all if it is doable???i don't work by the way so it helps me alot because i have alot of time to myself to study but the question here has anyone done this before and do yall think i should take those 3 classes during summer time or am i setting myself up for failure??:'(pls help
