  1. Congrats! Told you so, you had a good chance
  2. I received an email first granting admission.
  3. It's comforting to know that there's another vet in my cohort. Did you know that you can waive the UTMB health insurance with your VA Health benefits? Just recently found that out and thought I'd pass on that information. It helps not having to pay that extra $1500+ a year for health insurance. If you happen know any other vets attending this fall could you pass on this information as well.
  4. Nice, You have a good chance. Your gpa is really high. My gpa is lower at 3.8's. I took the teas a 2nd time, but I got accepted the same morning with my old score of 75.
  5. Nursectp, don't let my situation put u down. I spoke to the office last month and they said admission will be determine up until fall class starts. For me, they probably changed their mind bc I finally submitted my resume showing details of my 8 years and 2 tours of practicing medicine in the service and that most expenses will be paid for by uncle sam. And also I'm on the fast track to join back up after nursing school. So don't compare, my situation is very different.
  6. Hey ugochi, how long did your BON background check take before you recieved the blue card?
  7. Yes, I was waiting for word before sending in my final transcript so a missing class appeared on mystar to do list a month or two after the application deadline. Don't lose hope, I actually received a premature rejection letter a few days after that. Obviously they changed their minds. My advice to you is to clear the to do list right away as it comes. It might give you a better advantage having the most things completed if not all.
  8. Can't speak for Ugochi, but I did at 1330.
  9. Conditionally Accepted! Hope the surf there is good cause I'm brining my boards. Texas here I come.
  10. I'm twirlling my thumbs too. I called the office of admission today and was told that the admission board is currently in a meeting selecting candidates so just a little longer. Just keep checking mystar I guess. Best of luck.
  11. Yea I just heard back from them with an unexpected interview offer. Months ago they sent a message telling me not to lose hope followed by a rejection letter so I thought fall 2017 was over and done with, but here they are with 2 months left telling me that I've been on their waitlist and would like to offer an interview. Don't know if I should be glad and hopeful or be angry that they're expecting me to uproot my life 1,500 miles away in less than 2 months.
  12. My stats are: Teas: 74.7 GPA: 3.81 Science: 3.57 Experience: 7 yrs Combat medic I haven't even gotten an interview yet... sucks, I guess teas test is so much more important than anything else... =\
  13. For those who got accepted would you mind sharing your academic stats and teas scores so that the people who haven't heard back yet know where they stand in being accepted?
  14. Mimi1317, 3rd time's the charm. Would you mind sharing your academic stats for when you didn't get in so we know what to expect? If that's not too much to ask. I'm from a different state that's extremely competitive so I have no idea where the standard lies for admission
  15. You should recheck your "to do's" on mystar just incase because I sent my TEAS from ATI web yesterday and today the to do list finally stop telling me I'm missing TEAS scores.
  16. I haven't yet probably because I just got the mystar email and notification that I have to send my TEAS scores from ATI website. I will keep you up to date. Did u get an interview yet? Also how r u taking care of the Texas Government prereq?
  17. I applied Summer 2017. Getting really nervous. My overall GPA is 3.71 and my TEAS score is 74.7%. With that, Can anyone tell me where I stand with getting accepted? I'm from San Diego, California so with the standard here, I don't even qualify to apply to a lot of BSN programs. A lot of programs require 2 years of 2nd language, Organic Chemistry 1, minimum 3.8 GPA, and minimum 80% - 85% TEAS. These standards have made me feel like a failure for a long time so I don't know what to expect applying to UTMB. Hopefully, my 7 years of experience as a Navy medic will save me.
  18. Do u mind telling us know which school u got into for the bsn program?
  19. I'm only going for adn at this moment because I dont have Ochem yet so I'm trying to get any RN program that would bite while I complete chem II and ochem. I already spent over 8 years in military service so I want to finish school as quick as possible.
  20. I just took the teas test and struggled a bit with timing bc I'm a slow test taker. I ended up with a 75% teas score. I'm not proud of it and I'm feeling devastated. Is 75% even good enough to have the chance at being admitted into any ADN programs in San Diego? Has anyone been accepted the recent years with a 75% teas score? I do have a high gpa and I'm a former Navy medic, so I do have experience. Just don't know where I stand anymore with my teas score.
