What I had to do was built a program and completed 160 clinical hours with my preceptors (who were the FNPs in my facility). That's it. Another way to be able to work in medical field as a mid level provider is getting into a Physician Assistant (PA) program. Because you have had some medical experience as a CNA, you can finish that program in 17 months; instead of spending at least 4 years going from ABSN to MSN.
