HI, I would like to do the Ethics course at Portage, and you all said that there are a lot of writing. I would like to ask you, what kind of "writing' is required? Normal writing, where you express your opinion about the subject, or journal that you read, or you have to write in form of essay? and If its essays, could give me an idea (website/link to a video)on how to write an essay for this program, please. No, I did not get into a nursing program yet, but I want to take the pre req courses this summer and If I'll accepted to any college I'll have my pre req done. What about you? I looked into AMSN but they are expensive, and I'm thinking in doing my ABSN (15/18 motnhs) then work for a year and then do my MSN-DNP/or Phd. Many thanks again. ChrisT ?

Dear nhung.dang, Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate. I worked a Physician Assistant before and going through this 'route' will take time. There are some ABSN that are from 12 to 18 months, and some MSN that are one year. I think I'm going to do my ABSN and then my MSN. Many thanks again. ChrisT1

Thank you so much for your reply, Verene, 1) Yes, You're right. I'm still doing my research, and its not been easy, but I love it. ? Normally, they ask for Anatomy/Physiology I II, Microbiology, PathoPhysiology, Statistics, Lifespan, Nutrition. 2) I never seen a RN/MSN-NP course. They may ask for a RN degree, or it may take long tie to finish. ? I may do a ABSN where they accept people with a non-nursing degree, which is my case, or an ASN. I do not have outside obligations, such as children, but I have a husband. ? 3) I went to Vanderbilt last Saturday for their open house, but they do not have any 'space' for MSN this year, and there are a long waiting list for all subjects, and they're very expensive also. 4) I still did not find a community college that offer the Pre Requisite course... but I'm looking. ? 5) Im researching a lot trying to find a course that will fit my needs.... a BSN perhaps. ?
