  1. Wishing you the best! Can’t wait to hear if you got your top choice (I bet you did)!
  2. I don’t graduate until May 2022 so I definitely haven’t heard. Although, I did get approved for clinical rotations at the local VA (which is where I hope to ultimately land). Have you been in contact with your top choice VAs? I would assume you would know by January. Congratulations, by the way, on almost being finished!
  3. Hi, yes, they most likely did that so they can just select from the “alternates” without allowing anyone else to apply. Unfortunately, we must sit and wait until October but I think we have an excellent chance at being selected based on past candidates’ shared experiences.
  4. There was a generic comment about our status being updated automatically if we get accepted later and something about more funding in October. I don’t know anything beyond that. Your situation sounds ideal, though! Thanks!
  5. @2011MSN Did you receive alternate status in June/July then October passed and it wasn’t until the following July you heard? Or, you heard not long after you received your alternate status?
  6. I’m “alternate” also. Let’s hope for $$ funding in October.
  7. @NP_hopeful19 Funny, I wake up every morning, check my e-mail and think, “Okay, this is great. He’s supposed to call with good news and e-mail bad news.” But, I’m also anxious. I’m guessing we should hear something by next week? ** I think it might motivate me to study more knowing I have the scholarship, too. HaHa
  8. I was told they would make exceptions. Don’t give up hope. How long do you have to finish your program?
  9. Yes, non-VA employees must be FT; VA employees can be PT; however, he said they’d make exceptions. There is fine print when directed to one of the other sites. I am hoping for news soon, too! I hope to see us all on the selection list.
  10. Did you receive an e-mail update the first week of June? -------------------------- stated the board was being convened the following week and the board had 30 days to send results back to his “office.“ So, with that said, I am guessing mid-July. I am also only part-time and he stated they would make an exception. I’m guessing they are flexible so my hope is they have MANY slots to fill!
  11. Also—maybe no news is good news? I read in other posts that recipients were called if they got selected. I applied for PMHNP also. Good luck to us both! Melissa
  12. Hi—I also applied and have been anxiously awaiting results. Based on the update I received, it looks like the board has until mid-July to post award recipient results. So, it could be any day or a few weeks.
  13. Best wishes! Ironically, yesterday I received an e-mail updating applicants that the board should meet next week and have up to a month to submit their selections for my desired scholarship (PMHNP). So, probably July for mine. I don’t have an interview requirement either (that I’m aware).
  14. @Kirsten81774 Do you mind sharing when you were notified of your selection? I applied in April and am curious how long I will be waiting for the results. Thanks!
