  1. New Grad RN on L&D unit. Discouraged and questioning my nursing career.

    I hated L&D, I thought they were literally the meanest nurses I had ever met. I didn't make 3 weeks before I was begging to leave. Did six months L&D and would have stayed but except as a single person being on call or staff reduced so often wasn't sustainable and I went back to Med/Surg to get consistent hours. Now I'm a Peds nurse and love it. You never really know with nursing where you'll end up. Good luck to you where ever you go.
