I would definitely consider relocating like everyone else has said. If there is one benefit of moving out of the New York area, then it is that the cost of living will be lower making your dollar go farther. I have had multiple friends relocate and have enjoyed their experience as they got to explore a different part of the country. I completely understand if you can't relocate at this time. I am in the same boat due to some issues with my family currently.

With me being from Chicago, I haven't been able to have much luck in my local area. I had a friend that stumbled upon an opportunity in Rapid City, South Dakota that is accepting ADNs as long as the candidate is interested in pursuing their BSN. Unfortunately, I do not want to relocate at this time, but I am more than happy to pass the contact information if you'd be interested in relocating.

I would absolutely suggest sending a thank you card after the interview. No matter how well or how bad the interview may go. It is always appropriate to send a thank you, as it shows you are considerate of their time and effort for considering you and giving you a chance.
