  1. Hi there! Like what i said, i was super sure that i got it wrong. I cant say what question it is but it was an easy question lol also bc it was SATA i only chose like 2 instead of 3. I also didnt get a lot of sata I had like less than 10 and a lot of priority as well.. Everything went blur afer the test so I can't say much about it since it's been 4 months since i passed. Hehe goodluck! :)
  2. Just to answer you question, there is no limit on how many times you can take the NCLEX here in NY. "IF" you fail the first time you take it, you can always take it after 45 days. You can get your ATT right away after you pay the $200 fee at Pearson vue when you email them. They answer after an hour or two. Hope this helps! Be positive. You got this! Goodluck!
  3. Hi nurses! I'm just wondering if anyone here are recently licensed as nurses like myself here in NYC and have found a job already? I know that it's tough to get a job but I'm just curious if how long it took for you to get a job? I just passed the nclex-rn earlier this month and I have applied probably around 50 jobs online and some of them rejected me and haven't called me yet. It's just really frustrating. I need a job and money like any of us do. I'm unemployed right now and getting that license and getting a job as a nurse is my only choice as of now.
  4. Hey thank you! Sorry i have a personal email that has all my name written on it that's why i can't disclose it.. but if u have any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer it the best that i can. :)
  5. Hi guys! So let me start by saying that I'm one of those people "lurking" around here since I started reviewing for my NCLEX-RN (July 2015). I graduated in the Philippines on March 2012. I know it's been almost 4 yrs since graduating but I had issues with my school. They dint issue some paper works and that took time. I had to go back and forth (New York to Phils) just to fix that. It was a pain let me tell ya but 2 years after I finally was able to finish the whole CGFNS thing and applied to NY BON. Fast forward to july 2015 they finally issued my ATT. First time i took the NCLEX, I made a routine. I studied 9-5 like its my job. Then, I'll answer questions 2 hours before I go to bed. I read the whole Saunders Purple book. It was overwelming and my brain did not like that. Lol I also used Uworld and finished prolly 1300 out of 1700 of the entire qbank. Come september, I took the test in CA and ended up with 240 questions. Did the pvt and bam it charged me $200. 😩 I dint mind since I'm testing again anyway. I still paid for the QR just to read the four letters which is FAIL. I cried... a lot. 😢 For 1 month I did not touch any Nursing books or answered any questions. I was so depressed that I dint want to stress myself more 🙈 October 31st, My husband and I moved back in the East coast. I decided not to work and concentrate on studying but wasn't able to concentrate with all the holidays coming (Thanksgiving, Christmas Parties, Christmas and New Year!) I was all over the place. I would sleep at 12mn and get up at 10am. I prolly only studied for about 4-5 hours a day. Anyway, I purchased Hurst this time since i feel like I'm still lacking content and Uworld for qbank again(I love their rationale!). I watched all the videos on hurst twice some three times. It was a snooze fest but i liked it majority of the time. Lol Before the test i finished about 1100 out of the 1700 of uworld. This time my overall score was 58% (Last time it was 44% 🙈). Personally, the combination of Hurst and Uworld is perfect for someone who is lacking content like me. Oh and my hurst q bank scores were horrible! I was only able to finish 3 and my scores were 73,73,71/125 😂 they said you need 84/125 to pass obviously my scores are not even close to the passing score! Oopss! BUT i was able to pass with 76 questions! Also, the last question doesn't determine wether you pass or fail bc my last question was wrong (i know bc i googled it right away) so don't even stress about it. 😉 Lastly, I'm sorry this is all over the place and that this post is super lengthy! 🙈 I hope this helps anyone that is preparing for nclex. For retakers, don't give up! You got this! 👍🏻 If you have questions, feel free to leave them down below 👇🏼 Godbless 🙏🏼 and Goodluck! 👍🏻
  6. It's okay. He's trying to be positive about it. He's taking it again in 45 days 😉
  7. I used Hurst and Uworld. I only did 3 q reviews on Hurst and my scores were 73,73,71/125. I was worried and I almost rescheduled my exam but I ended up passing with 76 questions last Wednesday. Don't worry about your scores just understand the rationale of every question. i can't emphasize that enough. Hope this helps!
  8. My husband and i took the nclex same date and time (Jan 6 1pm). I tried the pvt 31 hours after the test using a gift card that doesnt have anything on it. I got a good pop up (the one saying "another registration is not allowed this time, etc".) Then, i tried the pvt again for my husband and he had a bad pop up saying the card was declined and we need to put the cc number again. Come friday, jan 8 we both paid the quick results. I ended up passing and he failed. So in my personal experience the pvt does work. Hope this helps.
  9. You should be fine. I am currently from PA now and i used my CA license when i took the exam last wed. and there were no problems.
  10. I'm on the same boat as you. I took my nclex yesterday at 1pm and today after 31 hours i finally did the pvt and i got a good pop up. I only did it once coz i'm scared that if i do it again i might get a bad pop up. Lol I hope it's accurate! All the best to you! I hope we pass :)
  11. Thank you! hopefully I'll be able to nail it this time. I'm on my 2nd one!
  12. Testing tomorrow and I'm freaking out as well. Did 3 q review's on hurst and I'm getting low 70's out of 125. I'm scaredddd:banghead:
  13. It's been pending for 2 weeks now. They just told me to tell Pearson Vue to call them and let them cancel it. I also asked pearson vue if i can get a refund if they charged me twice and they said yes. So, hopefully they keep their word for it.
  14. Hi guys! I'm pretty sure there are threads similar to this but i can't seem to find them. I just want to know what to do after doing the trick and charged $200? I did my NCLEX-RN on 9/25/15 and did the trick few hours after taking it sadly i failed that's why I was charged. So, it's been 2 weeks and my $200 is still pending on my credit card account. I called Pearson vue and they told me that they don't see an active registration from me. I also called my CC company and told me that they can't cancel they payment since it is pending. idk what to di right now, so if anyone out there know what to do I will really appreciate. Thank you very much.
