I've read other stories where ppl have done the same which gave me hope. I listened and did not report to IPN. I hope you all who is experiencing this make it out with great results like me. I remember going through the stress and depression just wanting answers.

I failed a pre employment drug screen last year June 2023. Got a lawyer, never contacted IPN. My lawyer handled everything. Lawyer contacted me in January after I closed on my brand new , first home and told me the case has been closed. No marks on my license. Was able to renew my license in July !

I just got the email from my attorney that my case is closed! Best $6000 I've ever spent!

I'm in Florida as well, I was told by my employer in June and DON contacted me in July so about a month

Hey, find another job and just wait. Your lawyer sounds like a scammer if she told you that because she won't even know that until you get a letter or call from DOH so be careful with that. I'm in Florida as well. Paid $6000 to my lawyer so far but I'm still under investigation. Failed pre employment drug screen for THC. My lawyer was upfront about the process. Telling you to pay $3000 of the remaining retainer for he/she to answer a question she don't have access to is questionable And no you don't have to quit the new job if you're getting investigated. Everything is confidential until they make a decision. I'm going on 3 months at my new job. Starting a new one ( 2nd job ) on Monday

That's amazing! I have an attorney working my case. I just hope my license don't end up having any marks on it and this does not become public. Literally tested positive for THC pre employment. It's pretty sad and unfortunate that nurses, good nurses are being nailed to the cross for this.

Properly manufactured! There are so many CBD products out there that has THC in them and ppl do not know this. And still, this is about pre employment. Even if someone does take a THC gummy a month ago , when their drug screen come back positive should that cost them their license smh

Exactly! Which is what's going on with this pre employment drug screening. Individuals are being reported to the DOH for a failed pre employment drug screen. They could have had a CBD gummy 3 weeks ago and test positive from that. They haven't even started working with patients yet. To say they are impaired ? how so? Insane!

You're so focused on trying to get ppl in trouble rather than really read what I said. I Did not say anything about where I'm working. I'm speaking in general. ? TF

It's not that they don't care, this is pre employment drug testing that are putting nurses jobs on the line. If they would run drug and alcohol test on every nurse on the floor right now the whole hospital will be out of nurses. Let's be for real

And be very careful with the advice you get from some of these ppl on here. They could possibly be working for attorneys and have fake stories. Just do your research. DO NOT CONTACT IPN! I'm in a similar situation

Is it hard finding work With the mark on your license? And is it public? If so what does the status say ? Is this something EVERYBODY can see if they look up your license?

Hello, what state are you located in? Mine was pre employment as well. Is it on the board of nursing? Or do your license remain clear during the process? Did you self report first or did you immediately contact your attorney?

And can I not do any work outside of nursing? Like customer service?
