  1. MUSC is awesome! It's very busy but everyone is really helpful and willing to teach. They are on a hiring freeze currently though and I'm not sure when they will start hiring again. Roper seems like a great place to work too if they are hiring. I know a lot of people start off at Vibra in Mt Pleasant too; it's an LTAC.
  2. Sorry for the late response!! I'm sure you finished interviewing now.. But if you still have questions please PM me!
  3. It was rather laid back. I went to two at Roper and both were similar. I declined their offers though and ended up accepting a position at MUSC.
  4. Whoops, sorry I misunderstood! MUSC has a children's hospital. Roper St Francis is another organization.
  5. I know that Trident Medical Center in North Charleston and Summerville Medical Center in Summerville are HCA.
  6. Thanks for the help! I ended up e-mailing her after I posted this and she sent the confirmation e-mail soon after.
  7. I was called by a nurse recruiter this Monday to schedule an interview for the following Tuesday the 3rd. She said she would send me a confirmation e-mail with all the details of where I need to go, the time, etc. I followed up with her this Tuesday since I didn't get any confirmation the day she called and she told me she would send it Wednesday. It's now Friday and I haven't gotten anything. Should I just keep calling her? I'm traveling from another state to get there so I just want to be sure everything is set...
  8. Nice! I'm graduating in May too, but I have my RN license already. My spouse is Navy too. Nuke? Thanks! I think they are only hiring for LTAC right now. At least that's what is posted online. I got called the day after I applied so it's a quick process.
  9. Has anyone interviewed at RSFH for their new grad pipeline positions? I have an interview coming up and I'm super nervous!! I'm from California so I'm not super familiar with the hospital, just from what I've read online. I did a bunch of online assessment tests already and did the phone screening with HR, now I just have to interview with the nurse manager. How does the program work? I also have an interview coming up with Vibra Hospital. I haven't heard back from MUSC yet, seems like they mostly hire from graduates of their school?
  10. Hey there. I'm a new grad. Judging by your username, you graduated from a CNL program? I'm also a CNL military spouse! :) Anyway, that's besides the point, but I have an interview coming up with Vibra Hospital myself. I know a girl who works there who started when she was a new grad as well, and she enjoys it. I have an interview at Roper St Francis as well for a new grad position. Is your spouse navy or air force? Edit: Oh yeah, and check out the VA. I applied for two positions there, acute inpatient and ICU. They were referred to the hiring manager but I haven't heard back yet... They are just convenient because we won't have to transfer licenses all the time if we have to move.
  11. Hi! I have an interview for a new grad position in BMT. I did my med-surg clinicals in a general oncology unit but my knowledge in cancers is still pretty basic. What kinds of stuff should I focus on when researching BMT? I know that it's a highly specialized area with high acuity patients so I'm pretty nervous. Is BMT categorized as med-surg or critical care?
