Planning to move to NC
CONGRATULATIONS ON PASSING BOARD!!!! That's a huge relief, I'm sure. Yes, I love Wilmington also and hope to permanently relocate by end of year (as I cross fingers my house sells). I plan on calling hospital again and see if I can reapply. HR requested I call them as soon as I secure a buyer and we can move forward.

Planning to move to NC
Not yet. The buyer I had lined up to purchase my house backed out. I was made a good offer by NHRMC but had to place it on hold until I can move. Hoping housing market picks up so I can finally move. I really like it there. Did you take your boards yet?
- Interview with Grand Strand. Suggestions anyone?

Wilmington, NC
Hi! I just scheduled an interview for m/s position at NHRMC for next month. I currently live in Gatlinburg but relocating to the coast hopefully this summer sometime. The "average pay" doesn't sound appealing, however, if cost of living is low then it can even out somehow. Before making the 6 hour drive to Wilmington, would you be willing to provide me with some good information about the hospital in general and most importantly the unit? My email address is [email protected] I would greatly appreciate it and completely understand if you're not comfortable doing so.

Are you liking Wilmington so far? I'm considering that coastal town myself.

Relocating to Coastal SC
Hello everyone! I am relocating to the beautiful SC coast as quickly as I can sell my Smoky Mountain home in Gatlinburg, TN. Nursing is a 2nd career for me after almost 2 decades of Sales/Marketing in the television and beverage industries. I've been an RN for a year now and worked 6 months in Pediatrics and 6 months and counting (still employed) in Acute Care and Mental Health (PRN). My strengths include fluency in Spanish and English and almost 7 years of diabetes management experience. My youngest child was diagnosed at the age of 20 months and is now 8 years old. I live and breath diabetes 24/7. I saw quite a few open position at Grand Strand and most were PRN. If anyone is working in one of the coastal hospitals, I would greatly appreciate suggestions, recommendations (where to apply) and so forth. As for residency, I would like to be within 30 minutes of the ocean since outdoor space is a necessity with 7 dogs (4 of which are Great Pyrenees). Any suggestions, recommendations, directions, etc...is GREATLY appreciated.
