Palomar Health nurse residency fall 2019
Hey everyone! Congrats to those that received an email for an interview! :) I received an interview email today as well and was asked to list my top 3 choices. I would LOVE to work in the ICU, but I'm wondering if I would be ruining my chances of getting an offer by selecting ICU and STICU as 2 of my choices because when I don't have much experiences in those areas. Does anyone know if there are specific requirements for those 2 units (ex: ICU externship experience)? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! :)

Rady Children’s Hospital Interview
@picklerick Thank you so much for responding. ?? This helps me a lot! Now I know to expect a panel, instead of just the nurse manager (?so much pressure). I received a call like 2 weeks ago, but I am external & graduated/ passed the NCLEX months ago. It’s so hard to get an interview anywhere in San Diego?I’ve sent in numerous applications to various hospitals and this is the first interview I’ve gotten. Truthfully, I think the main reason I got an interview is because my brother had leukemia and was treated in that same unit years ago & I made sure to point that out in my cover letter. Also, I used to sit at Rady’s through a staffing agency. I think those were my only two advantages. I hope you get a call for an interview for one of your two choices at Rady’s. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! ??

Rady Children’s Hospital Interview
Hey everyone, I’m going to interview at a Rady Children’s Hospital, in San Diego, for the new grad program on the Hem/Onc floor. Has anyone gone through an interview with Rady’s? Any advice would be greatly appreciate. My main concerns are: how many people will be interviewing me? Will I be alone or will there be other candidates in the interview with me? What type of questions will I be asked? Thanks in advance ?

Sadly, thats all the information I got. I guess we'll be receiving our information packet 'in the next few days', but I'm not sure what that means.... It could mean days or weeks. lol

I thought that too, but I started to notice a pattern on the application dates online. Really what they meant by 7 was "July" as in the month. For example April (4), May (5), June (6), July (7). :)

Hey guys! In case anyone was wondering, I went ahead and e-mailed nursing and I was told that 'pre-orientation' was June 7th and that orientation was the same day as the first day of class, which is July 5th.
