  1. I'm so glad I'm not the only one in this situation. I have felt like I am back in high school at times throughout my program. Most of my classmates are younger than me, and it's probably to my disadvantage that I like to study alone but it has taken me until the end of 2 semesters to feel like I've really gotten to know any of my classmates. I'm not into cliques, I want to be friends with everyone so maybe that's why I have felt like I don't fit in. Anyway you are not alone in the way you feel, just focus on getting through it and getting your degree, that's what I've had to tell myself.
  2. My strategy was to read through all my notes/handouts from class then pick out things I was completely unfamiliar with and make flash cards or more notes over that. Writing things down like that seemed to help make it stick with me also. I just finished my OB class for the semester. Find what works best for you, good luck!
  3. In my current program I had to take A&P I & II, math, English, into to computers, 2 psychology classes, humanities, and have current CNAs.
  4. Before starting the program I am currently in I read on websites just like this to get tips for passing. I took a "what type of learner" quiz and my results were auditory. For that reason I always made sure to listen very carefully in class and read my notes aloud when studying for tests. For things I feel I absolutely cannot remember or am unfamiliar with I make flash cards. This has helped me tremendously to pass and even make good grades. Everyone is different, just find what works best for u
  5. Anyone familiar with this program that may give me some advice? I will be finishing an LPN program in December and was considering transferring out to complete my RN through this program. I have researched on the schools website and have contacted the group coordinator to get as much information as I can but was wondering if there was anyone that may have been through it or knows someone who has. Any and all info is appreciated!
  6. I just interviewed for a CNA job a couple of weeks ago and had about the same experience. Most of the nursing facilities in my area have very high turnover rates for CNAs so it makes me kinda nervous to start this job with no experience. Good luck to you!
