  1. God bless you. I am sitting here wondering how I am going to get through this. I work for a construction company in NYC and so my work hours are 7:00am to 4:00/4:30p. I have to wake up at 4am because my commute to and from work/school is over 2 hours. Yesterday I got home after 11:00pm and I am dead tired today. I needed some motivation because I was starting to question if it was even doable. Your story has reassured me. Without having a supportive family, I imagine it would be very hard to complete a nursing degree. Fortunately, my husband is also my biggest cheerleader as well! Congratulations to you, hope you are now working as a licensed RN. Thank you for sharing your story CT Pixie!
  2. Hi everyone. I am in my early thirties and currently enrolled in a nursing program. I would love to start a family with my husband after I graduate. I also plan to try and find a job in the field after I receive my license to gain experience. What is a recommended/ideal time to plan a family when you are just starting your career? Can anyone share their experiences or provide any advice?
  3. Hi FutureNYCRN, I look forward to meeting you during class. I will be in the evening/weekend program as well. Thanks for your tips, I will be looking into this. I would love to see what information you have for the class. A friend mentioned that the evening program is different from the day program in that it is more demanding of you. Do Nursing Professors go over what will be on exams or provide an outline of what will be on the exam?
  4. Congratulations everyone!!!!!! We made it through the first hurdle, we can do it again and WILL do it again! What an amazing way to start our weekends I see a lot of people are in the day program is anyone attending the evening/weekend program?
  5. Hi maylovesppl. Thank you for sending your message above. I was looking for this group on Facebook and could not find it. Would you be able to share a link so BMCC Nursing students can join to help one another out? I hope all nursing students come together because we all have to succeed TOGETHER, and help each other out. That is what it is all about!
  6. I got a call this afternoon from Mr. S. so you guys should be hearing back soon. So nerve wrecking!
  7. I think that is best otherwise you will be anxious until you hear/receive a response Best of luck to everyone!
  8. Milavit- I heard it would take a few weeks to 1 month to hear back from someone who is in the program.
  9. Is everyone counting the KAT score or the Critcal Thinking Score/Grade? Hopefully we all get in and are in the same class. Is everyone applying to the day or evening/wknd program? Best of luck to everyone :)
  10. The waiting part is always the hardest!
