Bad messed up
You want to do a couple of things contact the Chapman law group in Florida and do a consultation, they do not usually charge for the first visit and they will be honest about what they can do for you. There are many folks on this site that can help you navigate the IPN program if you end up there. However, you are a single Mom and there is some medical reason that you need to identify that is causing the need for Xanax . Don't get me wrong a single Mom with two daughters can be grounds for Xanax, especially the closer to the teenage years they are. But you were a hospice nurse for 10 years so clearly you are not rattled easily. However, there is much evidence to show that anxiety can be caused by hormone imbalances, vitamin D levels lower than they need to be or low iron. Thyroid issues which trigger all of these are being seen more often in people describing what you experienced. However, the traditional route of IPN and getting an assessment will do nothing to identify or treat these items. Many general practice physicians do not look for it or really know what to do if they find it. Look around for an integrative practice that specializes in women's health. They will run the correct lab tests and provide the proper treatment. Often they are concierge doctors, but it is worth the $150 they charge. A good integrative management practice will also have a nurtiestist on staff. Often they can treat with dietary changes. What you pay for the round of testing will be far cheaper than the hair test, urine test and Peth test that IPN runs you through. You may also want to look into the AMEN clinic if there is no good integrative medicine physician in your area. They are on the leading edge of the field. You may have to travel, but it is worth it. They will tie you into local providers after they finish their diagnosis. Chapman Law group can help you get the Department of Health to allow you to follow this course of treatment versus the IPN. In the end you will be healthier for your family and your patients.

Peth test showing .40 without any alcohol in 13 months
Get an attorney who has experience with the board. Google the class action law suite in Michigan HPRP program. That law firm is also in Florida. The reason is the Peth test is being misused. It does not show daily binge, but USDTL tells people that it shows a binge event before the test. If you are negative on everything then it would be hard for them to give you a contract. USDTL is not big on standing behind their tests. However, the attorney needs to request the litigation package for the test and their validation for the PETH and the Resume for all the USDTL staff who were involved in the testing. It will show the testing that was completed. There is not alot of peer review literature on the Peth. An attorney is expensive, however it is a lot cheaper than what IPN and Affinity will charge you over the next five years. IPN gets kick backs from Affinity so it is to all their advantage to get folks in and keep them in. Just reading this blog there is plenty of evidence that IPN and Affinity is doing some shady stuff.

That dreaded question...
You have to be true to yourself first. If you answer honestly you may not get the job. Maybe it was not really the best job for you then. If you answer honestly you may get the job. Maybe it was the perfect job for you. There is no way to know the correct answer. However if you stay true to you, no matter what happens you will hold your head high. There are people out there that will not hire you because of your past. There are people out there who will hire you because of your past. And then there are people who don't care one way or the other. I am guessing one of the things you have gained by your journey is to listen to your gut, that voice in your head that knows the correct answer for you.

terminated RN
Self reporting is always better. Waiting for the board to come knocking is simply painful. When they do come your case becomes public most of the time. Self referral avoids this. As a nurse you have seen patients fight back from some dire situations. Have faith you can do the same. Monitoring programs have saved many lives. They are not fun but neither is chemo. Take a breath, say a prayer, you can do this.

NP after in treatment?
Don't lie on your application. The one thing all boards have zero tolerance for is someone who lied on the application. With that said depending on the state many will put you in monitoring just to cover themselves. If in fact you will be close to five years when you graduate simply wait that short time. Sign your application one day after five years and you have no worries.

I am relocating to Florida and am required to enter IPN, just trying to figure out the cost. Your post was helpful. Does the tedt price include collection? I am currently in CA and their is an additional collection fee we pay directly to collection company.
