  1. Hey everybody just wanted to share my experience (Providence Burbank). Interviewed on June 19 with a panel of 5, got a call several days after requesting me to go back for a 2nd interview in the department that chose me (TELE FLOOR). The second interview included the day/night managers on the unit and the supervisor. Both interviews were relaxed and quite similar in terms of questions. Earlier this week I got a call from HR notifying me that I got an offer. I accepted. I am hopeful that others will get a call soon because they said they were choosing candidates up until July 3rd. Every unit is different in their scheduling of second interviews and callbacks I believe.
  2. Thank you for sharing also!
  3. Hey! I ended up going the GCC program and I can tell you all about that if you applied. Other than that, I hear LAC is great, but tough. What nursing school isnt difficult tho? I find myself studying every day, atleast 2-3hours to be sane.
  4. Heyya, I'm already in the midst of the summer semester at GCC and we've covered intro Fundamentals to Nursing and Pharmacology. They are really exposing us to NCLEX type questions so we get used to it. Most of the questions on the exams/quizzes are critical thinking questions. They stress that fact quick frequently. Our group of 40 will get split into 20 when the fall semester starts. We are separated by standard schedule students and weekend/evening schedule students.
  5. They have class on saturday june 18 9am or july 10 sunday 9am that you could make since you work m-f like me!
  6. I signed up with critical care training center online!! Their office is in NoHo and it costs $45 after using promo code gcc.. way more conveniant!
  7. Check your emails! Ive been accepted to LAC! Hard decision.. lac or gcc gcc is 10min away... lac I'll be stuck in trafficc
  8. Awesome! updates you all. I look forward to acceptance letters being sent out. I've already accepted at Glendale Community College though. Can anybody compare the two schools? I hear GCC and LAC are both great programs. I live 10-13 minutes away from GCC.
  9. Definitely, me too! Name is Levon.
  10. These are the classes I saw on the schools class schedule.
  11. I checked the summer class schedule for gcc and it looks like its going to Tue/Thur 2pm-4:05pm and Thur 4:30pm-5:45pm. The fall schedule is out too but it differs between the standard and evening program
  12. I have just opened up my seat for alternatives since I have accepted GCC. May the force be with you.
  13. I called.. they said it goes straight to hr and we should be ok
  14. Has anybody got an update on the last part of their fingerprint livescan on portal.castlebranch? I wonder why its taking so long, the drug test took only 1 business day
  15. Does that go for both the standard and weekend/evening cohort?
  16. To those of you who do decide on GCC, I will be seeing you on the 27th!
  17. Thank you :) but I'll be attending GCC
  18. Accepted to LACC but declined.
  19. Hello everybody, So I've been accepted to Glendale Community College for their ADN program and I am waiting on hearing from LA County. GCC is so close to home and LA County is a not that much farther, but still.. farther. I heard they are both programs and I have multiple people telling me things like "You have to choose LA County." or "GCC is your best option." I understand that at LA County I will most likely be exposed to more intense situations during clinicals than at GCC. Both programs have almost the same nclex pass rate and cost. Does anybody have any thoughts about which program is better due to any reason?
  20. First, its 4miles away from home. Second, I know three people already in the program and they are telling me how great it is. 3rd, nclex ratings are 5% over COC. Honestly, its mainly due to how close the school is to me. If I lived in valencia/santa clarita, I would most likely go with coc.
