  1. Hi, I called my Tennessee Board of Nurse and she informs me to be cautious with any California FNP. Had she never heard of United States University? And wasn't accredited. I have been accepted in very accredited program at maryville university. I start Jan 2018.Thanks, be careful
  2. Thai210- Usually all graduate programs are self-learned, I am looking forward to group work. I just finished self-directed ( flex-path) BSN. IAnd I was on my own. It's getting you prepared for your practice as FNP, more self directed.
  3. Congrats, I have applied for Spring 2018 and is waiting on a response. Most of all that I have heard is very positive. I don't know anyone personal that attends, but thru second party sources. I prayed about it. And I feel that is where God is leading me. What concerns do you have? My enroll advisor ( Cynthnia) has touched bases with me every week. And she has been very encouraging. I hope that helps.
  4. One of my co-workers is currently attending FNP at South. She works full-time as private duty nurse. She states it's hard but doable. I personally attended South ( online) for half of my BSN. It was pleasant experience. Just very expensive. I am 52 years old and I need the extra time that Maryville provides. I don't want to feel very stressed or rushed. So, far I have had pleasant experience at Maryville. My admission advisor is very attentive. I have submitted all my documents and should know soon. I don't think you will go wrong with either program. Good Luck!
  5. Sherrystuna- Hi, I am currently applying for admission for Maryville ( Spring 2018). Congrats!
  6. Kciccone- Hi, I have researched several FNP for MSN. My original first choice was Middle Tennessee State but they are going through transition starting the Fall 0f 2017. The admission advisor stated that if you met the admission criteria you will get in, but she doesn't know how the prgram will look or change in the next year. It's cheaper than Maryville. But, after much prayer, I think the better fit for me will be Maryville. It's more costly, but it's approved by the Tennesse Board of Nursing. Which if you live in Tennesse you have to attend ( online) the Master universities they approve. They have strict requirements for the any university. Walden, doesn't have brick and mortar university backing them. I believe that in the future this could work against me. But, they are approved for Tennessee. I actually know of two nurses that have since graduated ( FNO) and is practicing without problems. The cons was that it two years, but doable. Maryville, my first two semesters is one class and they have extended there Masters to 2.7 years. Which I am 52 years old, time is not on my side, but I don't want to feel rushed either. I don't know anyone personally, but through other people, who knows nurses that graduates FNP. It's been favorable. Oh, I forgot Walden has 2 week break every semester, they give discounts. Like military. Maryville doesn't , it's private college. With Maryville you have 650 a semester fee ( negative). I also was impressed with Regis. I have a peace about Maryville. I hope this will help you with your choice. PS I haven't been accepted, yet, but my advisor has stated that if everything OK with my admission criteria, 3.0, recommedations, essays. I should be ok.
  7. I am applying to MVU for Spring 2018. Are there any other FNP students at this school that can give me advice?
  8. I will be applying to several online Masters programs. Middle Tenn State, Maryville, and Regis can any one that's in these programs give me review or advice?
  9. I will be applying for spring 2018 also. I have the same questions
  10. I think we got the colleges confused. I would like information of the United States University of San Diego, CA. They have new Master of FNP. HELP! Please.
  11. Do you know anything about United States University online Master of Nurse Practitioner?
