  1. Make sure if you get an interview there don't let them schedule you late in the afternoon....that way they are in a better mood.
  2. Thank you! I'm starting to worry a bit that I'm not gonna have he knowledge starting out. I know the expectation is low for new grad but still....
  3. I think they have a list from each unit who to make an offer to. And they have a back-up list. So maybe some of you didn't get offers because you weren't first choice but they will be calling back ups afterwards.
  4. Yeah they seem very cold. Its weird because I have never heard a single neg thing about that place. But my experience was terrible. Even if I had an offer, I would have said no. I want to work in a positive atmosphere not whatever that was!
  5. I got rejected to this week. However, I was not sad at all. The people who interviewed me were so unfriendly. I felt like they disliked me the moment I walked in the room. Only one of them smiled the entire interview. I never feel uncomfortable in interviews but I left there knowing 100% for sure I did not have that job. I never even got to talk about myself, at all. So, maybe a rejection letter is a blessing in disguise.
  6. Just remember, no news is better than bad news!!!!
  7. It was 24$ Feb 2015 but IDK what it is this time....rumor is it is a bit more!
  8. Hi you private messaged me and I can't private message you back! Children's is a GREAT place to work. You will love CVICU. I interviewed, however, I was offered a job elsewhere and the money was much much better than what I woulda got at Childrens. So I decided it to take it. Otherwise, I would have stuck with Childrens. I know a ton of nurses who work in both PICUs (C11 and C12). They are amazing people, but this past summer, they were severely short staffed. I am not aware if that has been fixed or not....but that doesn't mean it's bad there. I hope you get it!!!
  9. I just got hired at Medical City for an internship in the ICU. Anyone have any comments about Medical City Dallas for a new grad?
  10. Well, let me clarify. I don't want to say anything bad about the PICUs because they are AMAZING! The CVICU (to me) just seems to always be staffed with happy nurses. PICU often has more travelers and they were in fact very short staffed this past summer. That doesn't make it bad or anything. PICU has a higher census so they are always needing people. CV is more steady. Both are great.... I just think the CVICU is a better place to work.
  11. It really is a good area and I hope they hire you to
  12. are you trying to work in the cvicu?
