  1. Okay, I feel better now! I was so worried there for a second. Thank you both so much for your responses! Very much appreciated ?
  2. Does anyone know if HCC has an expiration date on courses specifically, the science courses? I have 2 pre reqs that are 6 years old. One of them is a science.....
  3. I obtained my GED & I had also been out of school for about 8 years. I recently completed my pre reqs & will be applying for the A.S. program soon! The first year of college was tough, I took a remedial math class as my math skills were horrid. Taking the remedial math class set me back a couple semesters, but in retrospect, it was the best thing for me. After I completed the math, I moved on to my science courses. I did not have to take chemistry as my program does not require it. It's tough when you've been out of school for a long time, but over time, you'll figure out a study method that works best for you!
  4. I feel like a lot of it is going to depend on the professor(s) you have & how intense their curriculum is.... I've never personally taken 2 science classes at the same time, but my friend/former lab partner did! She said it wasn't too bad as long as she 1) stayed organized, 2) didn't procrastinate & 3) stayed on top of the studying.
  5. I believe how difficult HA&P is depends a lot on one's professor. Some will want you to know every little detail, and some will tell you specifically what to concentrate on. Luckily for me, my professor was the latter type. Most of the exam info came from the provided notes/slides. You studied/memorized those, you were golden.
